JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you a passionate landscape architecture student or recent graduate seeking an immersive, hands-on experience in the field? DHM Design invites you to apply for our dynamic summer internship. This is your chance to work alongside experienced designers and practitioners in one of our thriving offices, contributing to a wide array of exciting projects from National Parks to hot springs, community design to urban transportation systems. Background, experience or education in ecology, natural resources and/or graphic design are encouraged to share details.
EDUCATION
All Landscape Architecture undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply. Candidates with additional background, experience or education in ecology, natural resources and/or graphic design are encouraged to share details.
SALARY AND SCHEDULE
$25/hour, 40 hour work week
Typical internships run from June to August but we will work with the selected individual to find specific dates.
HOUSING
DHM does not provide housing, but we will work with individuals in each city to connect them with resources for rentals and roommates
EXPERIENCE LEVEL
We are searching for a well-rounded student for a supporting role on all aspects of project design process from conceptual design through technical construction detailing.
- Pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture
- A passion for creativity
- Enthusiasm for the profession with an ability to work independently
- High level of attention to quality and detail
- Evidence of commitment to design excellence
- Ability to communicate with appropriate graphic skills
- Working toward proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe CS (Photoshop, InDesign Illustrator), 3D modeling, and hand drawing
- Ability to work professionally and collaboratively in a close team environment
- Interest in gaining knowledge of landscape and hardscape materials, applications and construction
