Position Summary
The Summer Golf Operations Internship is designed to provide comprehensive, hands-on experience in private club golf operations. This position works closely with the Head Golf Professional and is ideal for students enrolled in the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program seeking exposure aligned with PGA competencies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily golf shop operations, including POS systems and member services
• Support tournament operations, event setup, scoring, and on-course management
• Deliver exceptional service to members and guests in a private club setting
• Assist with junior golf programs, clinics, and player development initiatives
• Support merchandising, inventory control, and product displays
• Assist with outside services operations, including tee management and pace of play

Schedule & Duration:

• Approximately 5 days per week
• Preferred employment period: May through August

Experience Required

Candidate Qualifications:

• Enrollment in or pursuit of the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program preferred
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in the golf industry
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varied hours

Essential Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to members and guests in a private club environment
• Assist with daily golf shop operations, including POS transactions and tee time management
• Support merchandising efforts, including inventory organization, displays, and product presentation
• Perform basic club repair services, including grip replacement and equipment maintenance
• Assist with tournament operations, including event setup, scoring, and on-course support
• Provide support for outside golf operations, including bag services, cart staging, and pace of play
• Observe and assist PGA Professionals during lessons and player development activities
