We are currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist who can turn raw data into actionable insights that guide business decisions and drive strategic initiatives. You’ll leverage advanced statistical methods, machine learning, and cross-functional collaboration to innovate and inform the organization.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead the development of Data Science solutions for our Data Science capabilities within the Leidos National Security Sector. This position will support multiple programs and projects as well as being responsible for defining and maturing the organization’s processes and building/supervising a core group of software engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and develop methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze data sets.
• Develop and use advanced statistical concepts, algorithms, querying and automated processes to clean, model, integrate and evaluate complex datasets.
• Contribute to complex data-driven development projects involving diverse data types using modern ML architectures.
• Can act as SME for program engagements or proposal efforts.
• Translate complex findings into user-friendly reports, dashboards, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead, build, mentor, and supervise a group of Data Scientists

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 8 + years of prior experience related to data science.
• Experience with research and hands-on development of data science solutions for AI/ML applications.
• Experience with complex data-driven development projects involving diverse data types using modern ML architectures
• Experience in languages such as Python, C, C++, MATLAB, etc.
• Proficient in data exploration techniques and tools.
• Can act as SME for program engagements or proposal support.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to coworkers, teammates, and customers.
• US citizen with active TS/SCI clearance or above.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), or related national security missions.
• Experience with GitLab and jira.
• Experience with Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence algorithms and libraries.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
