TRIANA Biomedicines is a Greater Boston biotechnology company building the leading molecular glue discovery platform to regulate disease targets that are difficult to address with any other modality. TRIANA’s drug discovery engine is powered by high-resolution structural insights, state-of-the-art AI and computational tools, and bespoke chemical libraries. TRIANA’s target-first and rational approach to molecular glue discovery is currently focused on inducing or enhancing the degradation of high-profile cancer targets. The therapeutic approach pioneered by TRIANA has the potential to fundamentally change the paradigm of small molecule drug discovery and bring significant therapeutic benefits to patients. TRIANA is a private company with a top-tier investor syndicate.
TRIANA Biomedicines is seeking an experienced Senior Scientist to join our Biology and Translational Sciences group. This role is central to advancing discovery programs from hit validation by establishing clear mechanistic and translational links between target degradation and disease-relevant biological outcomes.
We are looking for a scientifically rigorous, highly accountable individual who thrives in a fast-paced biotech environment and is motivated by generating decisive data that drives program progression.
Responsibilities:
Assay Development: Develop and implement robust cell-based assays to assess target engagement, ubiquitination, protein degradation, and downstream signaling pathways.
Mechanistic Biology: Design and execute experiments that connect target degradation to phenotypic response in disease-relevant cellular models.
Data Generation & Interpretation: Identify critical project questions, produce high-quality, actionable datasets that guide stage-appropriate program decisions.
Collaboration and Communication: Distill complex biological data into clear insights and communicate findings effectively to cross-functional partners and leadership; maintain thorough and accurate experimental documentation.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Demonstrated track record advancing discovery-stage programs within a biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
Extensive hands-on expertise in molecular and cellular biology, including cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9, RNAi, transfection and lentiviral systems, immunoprecipitation/immunoblotting, qRT-PCR, ubiquitination analysis, and proliferation or viability assays.
Strong experimental design, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Clear, effective communicator who collaborates productively across scientific disciplines.
Background in oncology or immunology preferred.
Ability to develop scientifically rigorous presentations and communicate them effectively to support scientific evaluation and informed decision-making.
Education & Experience:
Ph.D. in Cell or Molecular Biology or related discipline with 5+ years of post-graduate experience (industry experience preferred) or B.S./M.S. with 10+ years of industry experience.
We welcome applications from skilled individuals whose qualifications may not fit the criteria outlined above.
Our Culture:
Our Team is our greatest asset at TRIANA. We are proud to work with an integrated group of individuals from an extensive range of backgrounds and experiences. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging are important aspects of our culture. We embrace our differences and cultivate an environment that drives better collaboration and innovation by striving to ensure that all coworkers have an ongoing positive experience while being their authentic selves.
Our Values:
At TRIANA we are empowered to act. We dare to create transformative medicines for patients. Our creativity and dedication are the glue that unites us in pursuit of our mission.
Thank you for your interest in TRIANA!
