The Audu Lab at the University of Utah Division of Vascular Surgery is seeking a motivated postdoctoral scientist to help advance the medicinal chemistry arm of our research program. We focus on identifying, characterizing, and targeting chromatin modifying enzymes important to vascular aneurysm development. Postdoctoral scientists in this position will engage in: traditional organic synthesis, DNA encoded library synthesis, high throughput experimentation, cell assay development, and direct-to-biology techniques to rapidly identify, synthesize and characterize novel cell-specific modulators of our target enzymes. Proven experience in organic synthesis and cell based work are highly desired for the successful candidate. We offer a competitive total compensation package.
Requirements
US Citizen or Permanent Residency required.
Minimum 3 year commitment.
Strong organic synthesis background
Cell based experience for assay development
Willingness and motivation to collaborate and start a new arm of the Audu Lab program
Ability to disseminate work: write manuscripts, present at conferences, and write grants
Motivated, hard worker willing to live and work in Salt Lake City.
