Job Purpose and Impact
The Food Scientist will provide technical expertise to new product development and renovation for product line growth in Eggs product formulations. As a member of the Research and Development team, you will coordinate with other scientists to innovate new product development by identifying and implementing technical solutions for our customers and meet business goals.
Key Accountabilities
Identify product growth and new product opportunities.
Analyze and interpret market data and industry news to help the team identify trends for product opportunities.
Provide technical review and recommendations for products, process development and improvement, and quality systems and regulatory oversight.
Partner with cross functional teams such as: marketing, sales, operations, and food safety quality and regulatory.
Provide customers and internal stakeholders with project analysis and insights to develop short- and long-term testing programs for experimental and commercial products and hybrids.
Collaborate and build partnership with sales, business management and marketing partners to identify customer needs and translate them into product development opportunities.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent experience
Minimum of two years related work experience
Ability to travel up to 25%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree or other post-secondary degree
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience conducting continuous improvement events such as Kaizen, Six Sigma or Lean processes
Compensation Data
The expected salary for this position is $68,000-$85,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
