Description
The Division of Nephrology at Washington University in St. Louis seeks a physician-scientist to join the faculty as Assistant or Associate Professor on the tenure track. We are seeking a dynamic individual to bring rigorous scholarship to our research program. The successful applicant will have a medical degree with board certification in internal medicine and evidence of strong research productivity and the potential for sustaining a successful independent research program. The ideal candidate will have a research program interested broadly in the pathophysiology of kidney injury and repair mechanisms.
The Division of Nephrology and Washington University has an amazing environment for physician-scientists. This includes robust Core facilities including renowned WashU Center for Cellular Imaging (WUCCI), the WashU Kidney O’Brien Center for CKD Research (Single Cell Omics, Metabolism Core, and Variant Validation Core), and the Genome Technologies Access Center (GTAC) which facilitates sequencing and single cell transcriptomics. The Division of Nephrology’s excellent research program is strengthened by collaborations with the Nutrition and Obesity Research Center (NORC), Diabetes Research Center, Center for Biomedical Informatics, Pathology and Immunology Department among others.
