Description
Overview:
The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for highly motivated and reliable individuals with a passion for athletic performance and a desire to pursue a future career as an athletic performance coach. This unpaid internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic training environment, along with a structured, curriculum-based learning experience designed to support your professional development. Will assist with the following:
Assist with the setup and breakdown of team training sessions and lifts
Support daily operations within the training facility
Observe and learn coaching methodologies across various training modalities
May have the opportunity to help cue and coach athletes under supervision
Engage in a curriculum-based learning experience to develop foundational knowledge in athletic performance
This is a time-limited, semester based internship.
Benefits:
This is an unpaid, time-limited internship with no associated benefits. Housing, on-campus parking, and meals are not included.
Additional Information:
Completion of the UAA Volunteer Form is required.

Qualifications:
Strong interest in athletic performance, strength and conditioning, or related field
High level of motivation, reliability, and professionalism
Desire to pursue a career as an athletic performance coach
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Student currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program is preferred
